No matter how carefully you drive and how well you care for your vehicle, mishaps happen. Scratch & Dent Cover will keep your vehicle in immaculate condition by repairing any chips, minor dents, light scratches and tears without having to claim from your short-term vehicle insurance policy.
We have 2 plans available to suit your needs:
Scratch & Dent Cover
You want to keep your vehicle in pristine condition on the outside. This plan provides cover for the repair of chips, minor dents and light scratches on the outside of your vehicle. We also understand that renewing your vehicle’s licence can be a hassle. For this reason, we have included our Licence Support benefit. It ensures that all aspects of your vehicle licence renewal are taken care of – from reminding you and ensuring you complete the necessary forms, through to delivering the renewed licence disc to your door.
Scratch & Dent Inside-Out Cover
You look after your vehicle and want it to look new on the outside but also on the inside. Scratch & Dent Inside-Out provides cover for the repair of chips, minor dents and light scratches on the outside of your vehicle as well as the repair of scratches, scuff marks and tears of parts on the inside of your vehicle.
What can I claim for?
- With Scratch and Dent you can have chips, minor dents and light scratches, up to your selected limit of indemnity, fixed without claiming from your short-term insurance policy!
How do I make changes?
- Call the Client Care number on 0861 60 01 24.
- Any change or cancellation that you make will be effective from the time and date agreed to.
- We may change or cancel your policy by giving you 31 days’ written notice.
Exclusions
- Any damage not defined as a light scratch, chip or dent
- Hail or natural disasters
- Pre-existing damage

Licence Support
What is covered?
Quick and efficient licence monitoring and notification service.
Only available under the Scratch & Dent product.
What are the limitations?
- You may only claim for the vehicle registered under the Scratch and Dent product with the LICENCE support benefit.
- Your premiums must be paid in full at the time of the vehicle LICENCE renewal.
- You will be invoiced and liable for the payment of the actual LICENCE renewal fee.
- You must comply with all the legal and regulatory requirements of the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act No. 93 of 1996) and other relevant legislation.
Exclusions – Assistance will not be provided for:
- Non-roadworthy vehicle
- Vehicles not listed on the customer’s Scratch & Dent policy.
- The actual cost of the renewal of the vehicle licence
